All proceeds from the album will go to War Child UK to help fill what couldbe up to a 2 million deficit they are facing in 2021 caused by the devastating impact of Covid-19 ontheir fundraising. These funds are urgently needed to support those who are worst hit by the virus.
Recorded at the start of the bands Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino tour, Arctic Monkeys - Live At TheRoyal Albert Hall, features 20 of the bands finest moments to date.
On June 7, 2018 we played a very special show at Londons Royal Albert Hall. All the proceeds from thatmemorable night were donated to War Child UK in support of the vital work they do protecting, educatingand rehabilitating children who have experienced the trauma of conflict and the horror of war. Thesituation that was bad in 2018 is now desperate and those children and their families need our help morethan ever. To enable War Child UK to reduce their funding deficit and continue their valuable work, we arehappy to be able to release a live album, recorded that evening at The Royal Albert Hall. All proceeds willgo direct to the charity. We thank all our fans in advance for their support of this release and in turn fortheir support of War Child UK - Arctic Monkeys.
Reviews:
War Child UK is a specialist charity for children affected by conflict. For more than two decades wevebeen driven by a single goal for no childs life to be torn apart by war. We aim to reach children asearly as possible when conflict breaks out and stay to support them through their recovery keepingthem safe, helping them learn and cope with their experiences, and equipping them with skills forthe future.
We understand childrens needs, respect their rights, and put them at the centre of the solution -from supporting Syrian children to access education, to rehabilitating ex-child soldiers in the CentralAfrican Republic, and promoting justice for young people in detention in Afghanistan.
We also campaign for changes to policies and practices to support children in conflict, working withchildren and young people themselves to demand their rights.
Together with our partners we deliver our vital, life-saving work in 15 countries across Africa, Asiaand the Middle East, and Latin America. In 2019 alone, we reached over 100,000 children.
